Unless indicated otherwise, all colors for the Spooky Shadow are gel from Americolor. Color gel amounts are for 1/2 cup (4oz/115g) of Royal Icing.
D = Drop
TP = Toothpick, which means to grab a toothpick, swab the gel color, and add it to the Royal Icing.

How long did you let your black develop? I added the same amount and it’s almost the same shade as your gray swatch.
I didn’t wait for it to develop, but I’m not fast at decorating. It took me about 12 hours, so the icing kept developing. As long as the icing is not dry, it will develop as well. Maybe try adding more drops.
