Hi, I’m Judit

Founder and Designer at The Sweet Designs. I’m a former architect turned cookie cutter designer, royal icing expert, and cookie decorator, with big dreams to create a trendy and curated one stop shop for cookiers.

I drink way too much coffee and feed my obsession for architecture with home decor. I love fashion, food, shopping, makeup, and crafts. I’m the wife of a very patient and brilliant man, a mom of three active and loving kids, a daughter to great parents, and a sister to five crazy humans. 

I didn’t always create cookies with flawless icing, thought I would set trends in the cookie community, inspire others or even imagined I would be the owner of that shop I always dreamed was out there for cookiers. 

MY COOKIE JOURNEY started with my daughter Sara’s first birthday party. I teached myself how to decorate cookies with royal icing  and I was completely obsessed after that. It wasn’t until my twins were born that I made the decision to start my cookie business. I wanted to spend more time with my kids but still needed that creative outlet, the extra income, and that feeling of accomplishment I only get with a job “outside the home”.

A year into my cookie business I felt like the cookie cutter designs and shops out there were lacking what I needed for my business to succeed and to simplify the cookie decorating process. I’m a slow decorator and I needed simpler solutions if I wanted to keep my cookie business growing. So, I bought myself a 3D printer to make my own designs. My cookie business followers noticed something different about the cookie cutters I was using, and immediately had requests to start selling my cutters. Being married to an incredibly talented and smart engineer, I immediately knew who was going to help me figure out 3D printing.  So, we combined my creativity and knowledge about the cookie business, and my husband’s talent and experience in production and engineering… and that is how our business started.

We have since added so many more products and have become the cutter shop I always dreamed I could shop from. Seeing my clients work and success stories using the curated products from our shop inspires me to simplify the art of cookie decorating and watch your cookie decorating hobby or/and business succeed.
