What You’ll Need:
- Baked and decorated sugar cookie
- Wooden sticks
- Cellophane bag (heat-sealable)
- Parchment paper
- Kraft paper
- Heat Sealer
- Hot glue gun
- Tape
- Twine
- Ribbons
- Tag (Printed / Digital)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Preparing the Cookie
Start with fully decorated, completely dry cookies. Ensure the icing has fully hardened before packaging the cookies. It can be any size cookie; I like to use regular or mini cookies from my website.
- Packaging the Cookie
Place your cookie into a cellophane bag and use a heat sealer to securely seal the bag. This will help the cookie stay fresher for a longer time. Leave enough room at the bottom to cover the heat seal mark with the ribbons, twine, and tag. The cellophane size might vary depending on the size of the cookie.
- Attaching the Stick
Center the wooden stick at the back of the sealed cellophane bag. Secure the stick firmly to the cellophane bag using tape. I like to use packing tape for this to make sure it’s durable.
- Optional: Decorative Touches
For extra charm, add decorative ribbon, twine, tags, or additional packaging to your cookie pops.
Helpful Tips:
- Ensure cookies are completely dry before packaging to avoid smudging.
- Use clear, durable tape for the best presentation and strength.
- Allow ample space at the bottom of the cookie bag to make sure the cookie doesn’t get squished by the ribbon.
